Berg-en-Dal...

Goodbye, till next time...
Overall rating 7 out of  10.
Completely safe, even for solo female travellers, two of my girlfriends have been to Kruger on their own and I met MandyM from the forum, she comes to Kruger twice a year from Spain, by herself. We had no problems with safety and security at all.

Don't forget to get your wild card. http://www.sanparks.org/wild_new/
And if you're camping and have a solid groundsheet, it's worth taking along, there is not a blade of grass. Total number of birds seen so far 194.

Oasis...

Water really is my favourite drink and I'm always pleased to find an Oasis. The water in Kruger sometimes ran brown, if they were working on the pipes, I like mine crystal clear thanks :-) And only R 5 to refill a 5 litre bottle, a rand a litre, can't go wrong! Hope you find one near you. http://www.oasiswater.co.za/

Biyamati Weir 1...

This is the Biyamati Weir, I was a little nervous when we decided to go across, it's not like you can walk it first to do a risk assessment.

Das Rollende Hotel...

Guess who rolled into town? Yes, Das Rollende Hotel, everyone helps to prepare supper and they seem to have a lot of fun even if they do come all this way to eat sauerkraut :-)

Skukuza Golf Club...

We were pleased to find that visitors are welcome at the Skukuza Golf Club, so we went there recently after stopping at the Lake Panic Hide. We had a very pleasant lunch.

Lake Panic...

One of my favourite places on earth. I can sit in the hide for ages.

Baboon Damage...

This is not our caravan, but Pierre ran to chase away the baboon. He was operating on his own, went into the caravan through the skirt and out with a loaf of bread. They do a lot of damage and one should always drop the pop-top of your caravan if either monkeys or baboons are around, it's just not worth taking a chance. Shame it was their first time in the Kruger National Park.

Rhino walk...

We do the Rhino Walk as often as we can, this is the dam we sometimes see the hippo in, but we always see the Water Thick-knee (old Water Dikkop). Wishing you a rip-roaring week :-)

Snake Sunday...

Can you see the snake? I nearly stepped on it before it decided to climb the tree... (In line with the tap). This was taken at the Malelane Satellite Camp.

Hamiltons...

A really nice restaurant, just before the Crocodile River and before the Malelane Gate into KNP, on the RHS. I recommend you give it a try, if you're nearby, you won't be disappointed. Four out of five stars.
