Richards Bay...
Caravan park, has four stars. The caravan park itself is nice, but seems to attract a rough crowd over the busy periods. Site G24 can flood during a heavy downpour. Site G21 is more secluded, bush on two sides and looks like a nice, large site. Rating six out of ten. No internet connectivity. Number of birds seen so far 209. Monkeys are a problem and you should put the pop top down when leaving the van. The mosquitos will carry you away! Safe as houses. No, safer!

Swimming Pool...
These days I have the pool to myself, but over Easter it was standing room only and I watched the kids backwards and forwards across that pole. They played another game, pushing each other off the pole and into the water. I had to try it, I picked a quiet day and went across sideways without falling in, I was so impressed with myself, go me!

St Lucia Boardwalk...
After the river cruise we walked along the boardwalk from Sugarloaf to the beach. As you get to the beach there is a small grove of pine trees and I saw my first Blue-cheeked Bee-eater, they were in a feeding frenzy, just before they leave... We also popped in to the Sugarloaf campsite, we stayed there many years ago but it seemed a bit rundown now. It rained a lot all those years ago and for years afterwards when we saw the weather on TV, P used to say "it's still raining in St Lucia". We lunched at the Ocean Basket and then home.

Hippo & Croc Cruise...
We went for a two hour cruise up the St Lucia estuary, a world heritage site. We must have chosen the windiest day so we didn't see many birds, but we did see three hippo families or bloats :-) and one crocodile. Most relaxing, R150 pp, we had a 10% voucher the usual price is R170 pp. We went with Heritage Tours and Trevor was our skipper. Apparently there are 9x boats in total and six operators they are not allowed to operate at night. Tours start at 8 am, and run every two hours. http://www.heritagetoursandsafaris.com/about-heritage-tours/

Homemade Hamburgers...
One of our favourite easy meals, this was a pork rib hamburger with all the trimmings, tomato, lettuce, cheese and pineapple from Woolies and very tasty.
